Dear Friend,
On behalf of A.F.C. Tickton we would like to welcome you to the Club web site and to provide you with information about our activities
Up to the season 2004/2005 we were Beverley’s only Charter Standard Football Club.
'Where the BEST lead, the REST will follow'.
Ultimate aim, "TOTAL FOOTBALL", > cradle to the grave.
The Club already provides opportunities for any one, of both sexes, to receive coaching in and the opportunity to play organized football.
In 2009 - 2010 we will once more expand the number of adult male teams playing to include an open age men's team.
This is another step to equal the female side of the Club, who can play from 5 years old until they retire, cradle to the grave.
Any where along their playing career they will have access to the opportunity of taking their appropriate football associated qualifications to enable them to further enhance their careers, even to taking over the managing or coaching of a Tickton team.
We are affiliated to the East Riding County Football Association under the auspices of our National Governing Body, the Football Association Ltd. Through these we compete in their locally organized competitions. |
Ladies & Vets "DO".
Just to remind you of this fabulous event.
Miss it at your peril.
Hodgsons' Pub, Friday, 10 July 2009.
First pints at 8; 00pm, (or before if you are lucky),
Presentation starts at 9; 00pm.
Music by the most famous DJ in Beverley.
Come on let your hair down, bop the night away.

AFC TICKTON PRESENTATION DAY
A big 'thank you' from the club to all who gave their time and who came to support this great day. All the children seemed to have a good day along with lots of Parents!!
Here is our Special guest 'Rory The Tiger' who was loaned to us from Hull City. He proved very popular with the children.
We would also like to say a huge 'Thank You' to Mr Jimmy Traynor the clubs General Secretary who has been almost single handedly running this club for the past few months. You are 'Mr AFC Tickton' and this club owes you a great debt.

The club would like to congratulate Emma Smith, Charlotte Holliday & Olivia Nassau, all three were selected for the East Riding U10's representative side at Nottingham on Sunday 17th May. They all played in all four games, first losing to Nottinghamshire 3.2 with Emma scoring both goals, then they thrashed the West Riding 5.0 with Emma again scoring. The third game saw the East Riding girls lose 1.0 to the West Riding, and the Final game saw Emma score the equalizer against Nottinghamshire with the game finishing 1.1.
'Well Done'

Hip 1 Hip ! Hooray !!! .
Today we received a letter from Les Howie, National Development Manager (Clubs & Coaches) , in which he is delighted to inform the Club our application for renewal of our Charter Standard has being approved. Also in the letter was our renewal certificate signed by Sir Trevor Brooking,
This good news will enable the Club the impetus to move forward as a unit together to follow the path of our "New Beginning", a 3 year Growth Development Plan. Of which we recently received a grant from the Football Foundation to finance.

The Club would like to congratulate the U10 girls who have won the East Riding Girls Football League Cup. The girls have a 100% record this season not losing any games. 'Well Done'
Jon and Sharon would like to thank all players, Parents and everyone involved for their continued support this season.
|

The club would like to congratulate the Ladies who did us all proud last night in the Development Shield Final. The Ladies were the best team on the night but after a 1 - 1 draw, after extra-time were very unfortunate to go out on penalties. They should all be very proud of their achievements this season
|

The Club would like to congratulate the U12 Girls who have finished as Runners Up in the East Riding Girls Football League.
A Big Thank you to all players and parents and everyone involved. Chris Wardman Manager/Coach

Car parking Complains
We must appreciate that the amount of extra cars on training and match days is an inconvenience to residents. Please make sure that you park in Cullington Fields Car Park. The car park at the Village Hall is nothing to do with the field, also please do not park on the road side or in the Bus stop.
We value the use of the field, if we cannot regulate the parking situation we will jeopardize the use of the field. Please work with us not against us
